It is difficult to describe the feelings when a winemaker reads this sentence while waiting for the result. It has a sweet-bitter taste. Nevertheless, we did not hide our enthusiasm for the achieved success. We entered two samples for the competition and we were very pleased with the results. Both Sauvignon, a straw wine from the year 2009, and Cabernet Sauvignon, a straw wine from the same year, reached the gold medal. We were very happy with the just mentioned Cabernet, as the method of production is unconventional for the wine world, as it stands out for its power, the combination of tannins, dark color and residual sugar at the level of 220 grams and it was processed using classic red wine technology. We are very happy that he impressed the experts with his atypical expression and did not get lost among the Sauvignon elite. The missing 0.2 points to win the category is a bit disappointing, but at the same time it is a challenge for us for the future.
