Vinalies Paris 2011

Winery news

The beginning of the annual series of international wine competitions is traditionally Vinalies Paris, where Slovakia regularly scores successfully. We decided to submit three wine samples this year, in which we had high hopes. In the end, our patience and efforts did not go in vain, and the first reports spoke of the great success of Slovak wines. To our great surprise, ours - Žitavské Vinice - was crowned the most successful winery in Slovakia. All three of our "irons in the fire" were awarded medals, which represented a 100% success rate. Tramín rosévy 45, a straw wine of the year 2009, won gold, Iršai Oliver 31, year 2009 and Veltlínské zelené, a straw wine of the year 2008 won two silvers. We are pleased that they were not lost among the 56 samples registered from Slovakia and belong to the total number of medals that adorn our country from Vinalies Paris - 3 gold and 14 silver ones.
