AWC Vienna 2016

Our favorite annual challenge continues to be the competition, which already commands respect with its huge number of samples from all over the world. This year, their number reached almost 13,000, surpassing all previous years. Where else should we check our wines if not at this competition? We were pleased with the Silver Chardonnay 2013 semi-dry and Pinot gris 2015 dry, both trained using the sur lie method. The gold was won by Muskát ottonel 42, Devín 49, Hetera 29 and the amazing dry Nitria 2013 barricaded. By just a few points, we missed the chance to defend the title of the only three-star winery in the history of Czech and Slovak winemaking. So we have to settle for two stars for several times now. Our patch is the "Best Slovak producer of the year 2016" award, which describes the qualitative balance of our wines. We are happy to score points in this competition every year and we will try to maintain this trend.
